I love the Yankees!
We went to a Yankee game on Labor Day weekend (they were playing the Blue Jays) and it was sooo fun.
My pictures didn't turn out too well...but here are a few...
See the picture? That's Derek Jeter...the shortstop...he won the Heart and Hustle award the night we were there.

We were there super early so the seats were still empty...this picture is to show how much I love the lights coming on at night games.
Another highlight is when the players and crowd place their hats over their hearts for for the national anthem...
This is a picture of old Yankee stadium I took while we drove around looking for somewhere to park.
This is new Yankee stadium...I like it because it looks older than old Yankee stadium.
This is the boys before the bleachers filled up...it got very crowded (I would say it was too crowded, except for the fact that the people were all extremely nice (and hilarious--but I can't say why because I don't want to make fun of the way New Yorkers talk
:-))...don't the boys look super cool and tough? ;-)
Olivia kept stealing my hat.
I had to steal it back though because once your hair has had a hat (especially in 5000% humidity) you can't go back to not wearing a hat. JJ surprised me with this hat right before the game (I'm the only member of the family to like the Yankees)(I don't understand why the rest of the family doesn't like them...I mean, how could you not like a team sporting classic navy pinstripes on their uniform?)
In conclusion: hot dogs, the national anthem, baseball uniforms, stadium lights, funny people, a new hat, summer night, New York, the whole family, the sounds of baseball, and the Yankees = almost perfect.

It sounds perfect. I still cannot believe you live so close to New York... Those pictures of the kids are all so adorable... You look gorgeous in the one with you and Claire by the way...
Cup half empty, eh?
Wow!!!! That is so much fun to see/read. I wish I could go to a Yankee game. Too bad they are not doing well but still...we are Yankee fans and hate the Red Sox and who wouldn't want to go to a classic American Team Baseball Game?
Sounds so fun! Who cares if you don't match, you still look cute!
I know, the pin stripes are irrisistable (I am sure that is spelled wrong) and the kids are adorable.
How fun! Go Yankees!
Oh Haley you are so lucky to live so close to New York! That was one of my favorite places when we lived in DC. What a fun day you guys had!
Wow, is the East Coast really as wonderful as you make it sound?
